Even as Kenyans anxiously wait for the arrival of US President, Barrack Obama, and his family this Friday to attend the 6th Global Entrepreneurship Summit to be hosted at the UN headquarters in Gigiri, it has now emerged the he will not be accompanied by his first born daughter, Malia, who has been a subject of uncanny marriage proposals from two Kenyans.
According to impeccable sources, Malia,
17, is busy this summer interning on the set of a television hit series, Girls,
that’s currently being filmed in New York and therefore will not find time to
accompany her family to Kenya this weekend.
The news of Malia not accompanying
Obama to Kenya has dealt Deputy President William Ruto’s ‘lawyer’, Felix
Kiprono, a heavy blow since he wanted to use the opportunity to officially ask
the US President and First Lady, Michelle, for their daughter’s hand in
marriage.
The young lawyer, who hit headlines
after he went to court seeking to have Ruto sworn in as President when Uhuru
was in The Hague, had already offered 50 cows, 70 sheep and 30 goats as dowry
to marry Malia but after the bad news, he got devastated and distraught because
Malia meant the world to him.
And it is not only Kiprono, another
Maasai moran, who was also eyeing
Malia, is also devastated by news that the love of his life will not be jetting
into the country this weekend.
He had offered 500 heads of cattle as
dowry to marry Malia Obama, who he described as irresistible.
